And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain
I’ve lived a life that’s full
I traveled each and ev’ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
“Oh, no, oh, no, much more than this, I did it my way”

History

“My Way” is a song with lyrics written by Paul Anka set to music based on the French song “Comme d’habitude” composed in 1967 by Claude Francois and Jacques Revaux.  The song was made popular by Frank Sinatra who recorded the song and released it in 1969.  “My Way” is often considered Sinatra’s signature song.

Greyson has often expressed his appreciation of Sinatra and recorded a cover of the song which he posted on his greyson97 YouTube channel in March 2012.
